Taylor is currently the Colorguard Caption Head for Buchanan High School and Alta Sierra Intermediate located in Clovis, CA. She joined the Buchanan Instrumental Music Program staff in 2019 as a tech, working with the colorguard year-round. 

Taylor’s colorguard career began at Kastner Intermediate in 2013 and continued at Clovis West High School until her graduation in 2019. During these years, she was recognized by her coaches as the most outstanding and most inspirational colorguard member as well as the most outstanding freshman of the marching band. Taylor was the captain her senior year. She also helped teach the Kastner colorguard as well as the Clovis West “A” Guard during her junior and senior years.

In 2016, Taylor performed with the Clovis West Varsity Guard at the WGI Championships in Dayton, Ohio. She also traveled to Indianapolis, Indiana, with the Clovis West Marching Band to perform as a semi-finalist at BOA Grand National Championships later that same year. In 2020, Taylor performed under the direction of Shavon Garcia with the Independent World-Class Winterguard, Imbue.

During the summer of 2022, Taylor traveled the country performing with the Santa Clara Vanguard, which placed fifth at the DCI Championships in Indianapolis. Taylor is currently spinning with the independent open winter guard, i-squared.

Taylor is continuing her education at community college, working towards her Bachelor's Degree in Biology and Life Sciences. She plans on transferring to Fresno Pacific University in order to gain her teaching credentials and become a high school or middle school science teacher.
