Cascades

Today was our first full day in Washington.

The drive through the Cascades was breathtaking. We passed through Seattle last night, where buildings touched the sky; similarly, the trees here are majestic, the skyscrapers of nature. Everything is covered with a layer of snow, from the powdered trees to the blankets of white over the ground.

It's insane to think that people live here while we are just passing through. When it snowed this morning, I was in awe, but there are people who are so accustomed to this sight that it's considered mundane.

I'm not sure I could ever get bored of a sight like this.
